Beta testing an iPhone app

It is possible to export the app from xcode and install it on somebody's iPhone through iTunes?

Im assuming you already have it running on your personal device and need to add it to other devices for testing?

you might want to look into TestFlight. Apple has its own way of allowing beta testing but its a long and painful process. From what Ive read this is the way to go

Yes. I'll have a look. Thanks.

If you go to Build and Archive in Xcode, it will package your app into an .ipa for you. When in Organizer, click on your app, then click on the Share... button, then choose Save to Disk... http://i.stack.imgur.com/Ku88K.png You can also try dragging and dropping your .app file onto iTunes. Then when you do 'reveal in finder' for the app, you'd see the IPA.
