blog in a subdirectory or subdomain?

Please could you tell me for SEO is valid more valid or more relevant to have the blog in a subdirectory or it will be better to make links from a subdomain?

Which one will improve SEO?

Im building a simple HTML site with some forms, and I undecided if I will install a wordpress blog as subdirectory or subdomain, for this business website.

in SEO terms a subdomain is treated as a unique website so I would suggest you put your blog in a separate folder (sub directory)

That said, if you're running a wordpress website the blog will live within the domain anyway so you should be covered either way if you're putting all your blog content within the main domain. :-)
