Blog section in portfolio page - code from scratch or embed a blog platform?

Hi!

I want to add a blog to my portfolio page.

Coding a blog from scratch seems impractical so Im thinking about solving this with a embedded blog platform.

Will future employer frown upon that i didn't code it myself?

If not: can anyone recommend a professional blog platform?

Thanks in advance :)

/ Axel

Wordpress is always a solid option when looking for a blogging platform. In general, you can show your coding chops by digging in to the PHP underneath Wordpress. I think the real strength of the blog comes in the way of demonstrating thoughtful content in the blog that demonstrates your understanding of a subject, and less so in the abilities demonstrated making that particular page. Nonetheless, the portfolio page should link to other coding projects that you have done on Github and your portfolio page itself I think would act more like a resume website.
