Boolean Values, how have I got this wrong?

if (true) { alert('This is true'); } else (){ alert('This is false'); }

You placed a conditional parentheses in the else component, since the else always runs when the if condition isn't met, there is no need for a conditional parentheses.

that's weird, copy and pasted your code but deleted the parentheses out of the else component, and it works.

if (true) {
    alert('This is true');
} else{
    alert('This is false');
}

It was weird, must be something I missed?!?! thanks for your help, that's great.
