Bootstrap Buttons On Click Color

I'm working on a website and for the life of me, I can not figure out what CSS tag/element to style to change Bootstrap's default button colors when you click on it. Hover and visited are fine. I've tried primary active as well but I'm not changing it. I'm using the default buttons.

Are you asking how do this? bootply

:active is when it is being pushed, :focus is after it has been pushed or is tabbed into focus.

Yes. No matter what stylings I do, I cannot alter the :active state of button's colors.
