Bootstrap CSS issue

Hi there can anyone with some bootstrap experience tell me why on this site http://www.plusonetesting.co.uk/schooner/ (still in development btw) so do not judge too harshly - why my hidden-xs class is still making items hidden pretty much up to a break-point of 980px - thanks

I'm not overly familiar with Bootstrap but the HTML5 validator is thowing up some errors with closing elements so they could be interfering with things.
