Bootstrap Vs Foundation

Hello, I am doing a little bit of research and would like to ask those who are on the forums a few questions to see which framework they are using.

  1. Are you currently using Bootstrap or Foundation?

  2. What prompted you to choose this framework over the other?

  3. Have you used both frameworks before?

  4. What do you like more about your chosen framework?

  5. What do you dislike most about your chosen framework?

I'll take a stap.

  1. Bootstrap if I'm going for a framework of this size, which isn't always.

  2. The community and the amount of extras that can be found. At this point I'm going for rapid dev.

  3. Yes

  4. I find it easier to get out of the blocks with. Way more intuitive to use for me.

  5. Not nearly as easy to customize, skin down, theme etc that I feel Foundation goes for. You're either stuck with a lot of base bootstrap styles, create bloat trying to override styles, or spend way too much energy stripping out what you don't need.

I'm currently working on a project for my portfolio using Bootstrap.

What prompted you to choose this framework over the other?

A local company I want to work for listed it as a job requirement.

Have you used both frameworks before?

No.

What do you like more about your chosen framework?

I really don't like using it, but I see where it could be very quick to design a site with the Bootstrap style.

What do you dislike most about your chosen framework?

I hate mixing the presentation classes into the HTML. I cringe every time I add a "text-center" class to a tag.

I personally like to keep the HTML about the structure and keep the presentation in the stylesheets.
