CSS

Bootstrap vs. normalize vs. responsive CSS

I am doing my first Bootstrap project and have a couple questions:

  1. Should I copy all MDN links into my html?
  2. Does it matter which order they appear in?
  3. If I have Bootstrap, do I need normalize or responsive CSS files and links to those stylesheets?

Thanks!

Thanks Mikis. I meant CDN not MDN. If not all links are needed, how does one choose which to link to?

No problem. Updated my answer for you.

Hi Lori,

1. Should I copy all CDN links into my html?

You should include the links that you need for your project. Though, seeing as it's your first project, it probably wouldn't break anything if you just copied and pasted all the links.

2. Does it matter which order they appear in?

The order does matter... if any of the links/files are dependencies of the others. Just try it out and see what happens.

3. If I have Bootstrap, do I need normalize or responsive CSS files and links to those stylesheets?

No, Bootstrap 3 includes normalize.css inside of the bootstrap.css file.
