Hello,
I put bootstrap.css into my assets/stylesheets folder, and cleared scaffolds.css.scss so as to not overwrite bootstrap. However, after bulding a navbar, inspect element shows that some of the bootstrap styling is crossed out, such as the webkit box styling (resulting in a sad excuse for a navbar). I've read docs on the Asset Pipeline but all my files seem to be in the right place (app/assets) so I really have no idea what's going on.
Thank you, any help would be much appreciated.

7,010 PointsCould it be the version of Bootstrap you're using? Bootstrap 3 is very different from the version they are using in this tutorial. The way you add the nav bar is different and won't look the same.

Courses Plus Student 7,563 PointsYour problem may not be specifically with your Implementation of bootstrap, but rather a simple bootstrap reality. Bootstrap has many styles in it and the inspector shows which ones are applicable, however the mac bar may be set up to have some crossed out styles because it fits into a lot of styles but not all of them are needed. All websites will show crossed out styles, your problems is a little unclear. What do u mean when you say that the bar is bad? Maybe try using other browsers and see how it looks. Hope this helps

2,098 PointsHey guys, thanks for the responses! Just figured out the problem - even though I had replaced bootstrap 3.0 with 2.4 in my code, Chrome was still somehow reading the 3.0 file (not sure how - wasn't the cache). In any case, I'm going back to 3.0 and will just use the bootstrap page for help as opposed to relying solely on the Treehouse vids.
