Break down on what I need to know about building a website with user profiles

Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of build a website for my Positive Youth Program in my city and I need to add the ability to allow my students to create profiles and add information. Essentially like a social network but something very basic.

Key: Profile Picture Basic Information Documents- For people to access and download.

I joined Team Treehouse a while back but I was just wondering if anyone can breakdown the coding I need to learn along with another information ASAP

In the future I would need to link this with a mobile application as well. If anyone has any suggestion in this realm that would be great as well.

I know this is a lot but I need all the help I can get. I am running solo building a non profit and building our website from the ground up. I have been using Adobe Muse right now but this is just not going to cut it.

All of the technology that you need is available right here on Treehouse. I would take a look at the building a simple ruby on rails app course. It will provide you with the exact knowledge you are looking for.
