Bringing up the workspace doesn't seem to match the content of the video, am I doing something wrong?

The video content does not reflect the workspace. Manually typing in the URL from the workspace listed on the video states that said Treehouse workspace isn't currently available. :(

You can try restarting the workspace.

Go to the Workspaces page and locate the one you are using (most likely the first one). Click on the trashcan icon on the right side to delete the workspace, and confirm when you get the pop-up.

With the workspace deleted, go back to the course and "Launch Workspace" again. When it comes up, it should have all the files in their initial states.

Sometimes, unfortunately, editing the Workspace can have an affect on future workspaces that you do. Generally, "fixed" workspaces for lessons are automatically introduced to you when you open up the "workspace" tab. Sometimes the video will even tell you about the "new workspace project." Unfortunately, you might just have to try and re-create his code as best you can, or go back as far as you can to where the last "fixed workspace" point was.
