browser can't find index.html

I saved index.html. The browser(chrome) can't find it. Am I missing a VERY simple step here? Actually feel somewhat embarrassed to even ask, but I truly can't figure out what the problem is.

Check to make sure you have the correct path for index.html , maybe the error is there.

Try launching index.html from your text editor by using Open in Browser. Using Sublime Text 2 you right click in the text area and select the option. Then the browser will show you the path. Other text editors usually have the same functionality, but may be named differently..

make sure your syntax for the page directory is correct
