Bug within Workspaces?

I cannot get Workspaces to recognise the quotation marks key. When I press that key (") on my keyboard, it does not display in the console/editor. I have tried both restarting my computer and clearing the browsing data. Any other suggestions?

hi Anthony.

I do sometimes find the editor to be unresponsive when switching back and forth between the console.

Try closing the console temporarily and reopening. This should let you type in the editor again :)

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply. I tried closing the console and then reopening it, but nothing changed.

I agree with Jonathan Grieve. Sometimes my console will become non-interactive. When that happens, I choose View -> Hide Console then View -> Show Console. This will reset the console and it will become interactive again.

However, if it's only the double quotes that are giving you problems it may be that your keyboard is not a standard US keyboard in which case, the console can have problems. I know this because I use a Swedish keyboards and have issues with certain keys when working in the console. When that happens, I generally use this list of alt codes to get the character I need. So, in your case, alt + 34 should generate your double quotes for you.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

Hi Jennifer,

I followed your instructions but I am still having the same problem, for both single and double quotes. I am using a mac and alt + 34 didn't work for me either, in or out of workspaces. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks :)
