Build a Self Destructing App - Ribbit App showing black screen in simulator

When running the app in the simulator, I'm just getting a black screen. I started building the app using Xcode 5 in Mavericks, then when i updated to Xcode 6 in Yosemite and opened my Ribbit Xcode file, i always get a black screen instead of the log-in / sign up screens.

All the codes are correct, as I'm not encountering any errors.

Also, in the main storyboard, the text fields /labels / buttons are sometimes there, sometimes not. I had a problem earlier because the username filed was under the nav bar.

I've spent a lot of time trying to play around with Xcode 6 instead of proceeding with learning and building the app.

I hate to leave this app unfinished.

Treehouse, please update the videos or help fix my problem. Thanks

It MAY be because of Xcode 6 bug. There are some cases where the UIs move about. I am not sure how you lay out your UIs, if you are programmatically arranging your UIs, perhaps consider setting it via the Inspector in Storyboard. Or maybe set constraints.

Good luck!

Does your project name have a question mark in it? This can cause a blank simulator.
