Building a web design?

Im new to the web industry and I have a passion for sneakers. So I was thinking about making a website where you can see what particular shoe is popular in your current city. So I called my website called topcitysneakers.com but I cant find any themes, plug-ins, programs that can provide my needs. Does anyone know how to build that?

First I don't know how to do it or know of anything, but i havent looked into it. Second your going to need a way of tracking shoe sell's. And you will need a programming language I don't know any but you can pick what you like so maybe ruby, php or something like that

Hi!

If all you want to do is nicely organize and display sneakers and then have a detail page for each shoe, you should be able to find a nice WordPress theme for that. Have you take a look at themeforest.net?

You may also be able to use the PHP courses on Treehouse to get a basic site for listing products that you can customize to your look and feel. You could probably drop off e-commerce integration as well.

Either way, you will need some CSS to get the exact look and feel you need. Are you good with CSS?

I have looked into several Wordpress themes but none fit my needs. I'm actually studying PHP as of right now and hopefully I can help it with my website. I'm not particularly good with CSS but I have taken some Tree House course.

I want like a voting poll in my website where it would pinpoint a users location (city) and they could vote for their favorite sneaker. That's why my I named my website top city sneakers. Do you happen to know a particular program that could do that?

I don't know any programs that would do this out of the box.
