Building my portfolio

I want to build a portfolio. I have a lot of friends that are artists, etc. What is a good way of going about building websites for them for my portfolio? I need free website hosting and free domain names. I was thinking about WordPress as you offer courses in this. I would like to build on existing themes; I think this would be good. Also, building from scratch would be great. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. It needs to be free... and I want it to lead to future freelance work and at the same time build my portfolio for future employment. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve!

My advice would be to have your friends pay for their own hosting and domain names. They are the ones using them after all. If they want their own domain names that is, otherwise you could just go with free hosting and domain names from Github Pages.

Then you could build those websites for them, and later use them in your portfolio.
