Building with Color, Illustrator Lesson 4. At 3.12 minutes, I cannot make my pen tool do what Ashley's is doing.

Building with Color, Illustrator Lesson 4. At 3.12 minutes, I cannot make my pen tool do what Ashley's is doing. I am using CS5. I do not have the top menu bar with pen tool options to try to copy hers and see if it works. I cannot find the menu. When I try to select the anchor point with the pen tool, I either get a totally funky result or the double handle with the shift tool. I am on a Windows.

Try this: Window > workspaces > Essentials > Restore Essentials
