Building Wordpress theme

I have watched all the videos (through the custom menu one) at least twice, and I think I am missing something.

How do we set our templates to be used on a page? As per the download files, I have the code to loop through and display posts/pages on several of my pages. However, my blog posts show up on the static front-page, not the blog page (which uses page.php). In a video, he said that home.php is set as the template for the blog site page. When did we do this, and how?

Ah, I figured it out, I think. From the WordPress Codex:

In Administration > Settings > Reading set the Front page displays to A static page, and select My Front Page for Front page:, and select Blog for the Posts page:.

Obviously, substitute your static home page for "My Front Page"

This may have been mentioned in a video somewhere, but I certainly missed it.
