Python Regular Expressions in Python Introduction to Regular Expressions Email Groups

Bummer! Didn't get a regex search object. Python-regex

I can't see anything wrong in my code. I keep getting this error : " Bummer! Didn't get a regex search object." Both lines work out perfectly when are tested alone but don't work at all together.

Your regex pattern is a string literal. If you are splitting them over multiple lines using concatenation you need to close each one so that the newline is not part of it. Your code would look like this in that case.
