Button position

Hi,

I have a div with 9 buttons in side and they make up a grid of 3x3. Now when the buttons are clicked the text on the button changes to what i want it to. This all works fine but as soon as i click a button the text appears but the button moves down a few pixels and only resets itself when all buttons in a row are clicked.

Can anyone explain why a button would move if you manually change the text with a function?
