C# Basics

The course is requesting that we use static void instead of static double as shown in the course. It doesn't work.

Program.cs 
using System;

class Program
{

    static double Multiply (double first, double second)
    {
        return first * second;
    }

    static void Main(string[] args)
    {
       Console.WriteLine(Multiply (2.5, 2));                  
       Console.WriteLine(Multiply (6, 7)); 
    }

There are several issues here:

  • the return type must match what the method does. A void type method should not return anything.
  • the instructions say the Main method should "make a call to Multiply", but here it's calling WriteLine
  • the Multiply function itself is what the instructions say "passes the result to Console.WriteLine"

Give it another shot with this in mind and I'll bet you get it this time.
