General Discussion

Can anyone recommend a good content management system?

Can anyone suggest a good cms for clients to access their content to update their site? Preferably not Wordpress as I hand code all my websites and don't like to use templates as such. Thanks

If you want a CMS, the best bet, in my opinion, would be to use one that is already developed like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. Hand coding is fine, but to have a truly robust system for managing content will require the use of templates, as far as I know. You could reinvent the wheel, I suppose, but CMSes like those I mentioned offer a ton of flexibility for both coders and the users managing the content.

wordpress, drupal, and joomla work fine.

Theming wordpress is not that daunting. They have a course here.

Okay, thank you guys for your help and suggestions!
