Can anyone recommend some good server hosts?

My experience with DreamHost has been pretty great. I have two sites hosted by them and I enjoy using their free WebFTP to make quick changes to my sites. Aside from the eerie resemblance to Lullaby Computers in the treehouse videos (even their logo looks similar), they have been great for me.

Wow interesting coincidence, I'd actually decided on going with dreamhost about 30 minutes before . Great to hear your positive feedback on it, feel much more confident about my decision now!

In order of recommendation

• A Small Orange
  • Small company, good prices, great support
• Media Temple
  • Lots of big names host their sites with them
• Liquid Web
  • Medium company, great support for dedicated servers
• Linode
  • VPS hosting & Treehouse partnership

I'd recommend against either hostgator or dreamhost, I've heard too many horror stories about their support.

Technodeshost looks good to me and has some good prices too check I out at: https://secure.technodeshost.com/

And also the ones James Barnett pointed out look good, especially A Small Orange, the rest may be a little more expensive that's why I would reccoment Technodeshost because its cheap and looks good :)

And if you want free hosting I would recommend www.1freehosting.com I'm currently using it and its been awesome so far.

Whatever you do, don't use GoDaddy for hosting. I would recommend A Small Orange or Media Temple. I use Host Gator right now, and I haven't had a problem.
