13,607 PointsCan I complete a track by taking individual courses? What happens if I change tracks?
I am on the PHP Development track and one module has some technical issues (Database Foundations) so I can't complete the challenges.
Now I am stuck because the rest of the modules are locked.
If I take the courses individually will they still add in to my track so I can finish it?
If I switch tracks do I lose all the modules I have completed when I switch back?
I notice several of the tracks repeat content but if I preview them they dont show that I have completed that section.
Thanks for any help!!!

iOS Development with Swift Techdegree Graduate 33,030 PointsIf you switch tracks the track does remember your progress, so if you leave it and return again, it'll have you start off in the place you last were. I believe if you take courses that are part of the track outside of the track as individual courses, your account will keep track of the fact that you took that course, and add that progress to your track when you resume it again.
I'm not 100% sure of this, but there are some courses I took in the front-end web development track that are also included in the web design track (which I'm currently on), and in the web design track they're shown as completed. So perhaps the courses you've completed that are part of a given track show up when you commit to taking that track. I hope that helps? I dunno.

However I do not know how this works if you complete all the courses in a track without being on that track. Say you were one course away from finishing a track and you switched then completed that course on another track. I don't know if that track would be marked as completed giving you those bonus points but the course would be marked as completed.

13,607 PointsThanks Kate,
That makes sense. I have started the classes individually. I'll post here once I know how it works.
Thanks again!!!
