can i download the latest version from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#top

can i downlaod the one in the website of http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#top or is it necessary to download this version the size of your version is of 639 MB whereas the current version is of about 850 mbs

My personal preference is to use the latest edition of tools. This would mean that there will likely be a few points throughout the videos where you will have to look up how to do things because they might have changed. However, if you are just wanting to follow along with the video and not have to worry about things having changed, using the exact version of everything in the video would be an option.
