Can I learn android developement using a Linus(Ubuntu) Computer??? Please help...

I want to know if the tools and software that would be used during this course are available or compatible with Linus.

download and install "android studio for linus" from this link... http://treehouse-code-samples.s3.amazonaws.com/Android/android-studio-bundle-linux.tar.gz

Also Install java via Terminal by using the following commands: sudo apt-get install python-software-properties sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer

Make sure you install java first before installing the Android SDK
