General Discussion

Can I seriously do this, and be a developer in 6 months?

I actually wanted to join treehouse 5 years ago but I kept stopping and going. I knew that I wanted to be a web developer, but I had no guidance and there were too many technologies I liked. Initially I wanted to use Ruby on Rails, because I heard it was the easiest technology to get Apps created quickly. Then I heard that Python was the language to know, so I started that. Then I started a web boot camp, and they were using Javascript. Needless to say it was a mess. The point is now, here I am...

Question ..

If I finish the whole full stack javascript course, and make some projects on github to show people, can I get a job? Thanks for reading.

I feel comfortable applying for jobs after the 5th project in FEWD. I'd feel amazing after FSJS. The job market seems like a crapshoot for landing the first one, but I think I'd feel good after FEWD and amazing after FSJS.

Hopefully others can chime in who have gotten jobs.
