can somebody help me with this

squaring.py
def square(number):
    return (number * number)

square(3)
print(result)

You are almost here, all you need to do is create a new variable called 'result' and pass it the function square with the number as argument.

def square(number):
    return (number * number)

result = square(3)
print(result)
