Can Someone give me a Website Brief?

Anything that might help really. I am basically training from knowing nothing to having a complete and coherent understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery, AJAX, Compass), Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Soft Skills, Word Press, and most of the Development tools. So quite the syllabus.

Some mockups would be nice and if you are okay with taking the time to give me a concept to finish then I will happily accept that.

As a P.S I just want to express my thanks at how kindly you have phrased your reply. The internet is often quite a scary place to ask questions on, due to the myriad of overtly forceful and aggressive replies. Thank You :D

I have an idea for a project that you can do. We'll do some role playing. I'm the client and your job is to redesign your company's web site. For simplicity's sake, we'll stick with the company's current logo and color pallet. You'll start out by doing a mockup of the companies home page. After that I'll play the picky client and give you some design changes. Then you'll do a mockup of the interior page layout and I'll give you some more change and recommendations. Once you've finished the mockups, you'll build the site using WordPress and Twitter Bootstrap. If you're up for it, I'm more than willing to help you through the process and offer help with code. Just let me know and I'll post the design criteria ( model after what I usually get from clients).

Jose, I'm glad you like the idea, but It's up to Joe Treacy if he wants to do it in a group or not. That being said, If you would like me to play client for you, I would be more than happy to come up with an idea for you.

I will happily do group work with you both. Obviously Andrew would be the client, but I'm unsure how Jose would fit in. Do you need to be linked to our companies website? (Pitch Factory). As for the roleplaying concept, it sounds great, although I work full time currently and most of that time is to be devoted to working on the courses from Treehouse. So we'd have to probably discuss how that whole thing works.

Also, are you both American? I am based in Britain see, and it would to know for the sakes of contacting. Or if this is planning to be a more serious project, we could also discuss via Email/Skype/ and depending on how much I feel I can trust you, Phone.

Joe, I found your company website through you treehouse profile so I already know what it looks like. I also work full time, and I my idea for the project didn't involve you doing the website in a week. I figured it would most likely take several weeks or a month. But I do believe that doing is the best way to learn. As far as communication, I figured we would do it mostly via email and use my Github for sharing and going over code. We could easily share the mockups using a dropbox. Honestly, I figured my role in this would be rather small. I mostly figured I would be giving feedback and pointers, similar to the forum challenges treehouse does. Just let me know what you decide.

I really do want to do it. If this Jose guy wants to get involved thats cool too :)

ok, well then I will write up a brief about the design requirements for the site an post it here. Then you can start with mocking up the new homepage design. I think the best way to share designs would be using dropbox. If you don't have one, then set on up and you can post a share link here in the forum.
