All the question was asking was to add a textColor to the TextView so that the color of the text changes from the default black to white.

You just need to add the attribute to the TextView and use the "@android:color/white" from the RelativeLayout attribute: android:background="@android:color/white"

 <TextView
    android:id="@+id/textView1"
    android:layout_width="wrap_content"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
    android:layout_centerVertical="true"
    android:text="Treehouse loves me!"
    android:textSize="72sp"
    android:textColor="@android:color/white"/>

Thanks now i remember
