Can you use an HTML table to organize photos into a grid?

I have 16 images that i will have to change every few months and i thought it would be easier to try to create a table. Can i do it this way or is there a simplier way?

You can if you want, but tables are really meant for displaying data. I would think about a unordered list and nest a figure element in the list items. That way you have more control and is more responsive. Tables are a pain for mobile devices. Here is more info on the figure element: fig
