Cannot write quotation marks within the Console of Treehouse Workspace Console

I am using Google Chrome on a MacBook Air with Swiss keyboard (keyboard settings set to U.S. international). Within the Editor of the workspace, there is no problem writing the quotation marks, however, within the console, they do not appear, as if no keys were pressed. I put the keyboard settings to Swiss-German, and that way I am able to write quotation marks, however, I am not used to use these settings and would like to proceed using U.S. settings... what is wrong here?

Instead of using US international use just US and then all the signs needed will be there, had the same issue with the sign #, instead of that I was getting £ because of the mac running on British keyboard
