Can't choose which language to learn next, Ruby on Rails , Php or Node Js.

I have spent some time trying to find which language to learn to develop dynamic websites. After thinking I was going to start ruby, I found that there had been a decrease in its usage over the past few years as node.js has grown in popularity.

I want to build a dynamic website for a charity with blog posts for the charity local events, twitter feeds.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Ruby on Rails has a very steep learning curve, and the treehouse lessons were a bit hard to follow for me. I understand it's much faster production once you get the hang of it, but php is continuing to evolve and catch up in that respect as well. As far as Node.js, the syntax isn't all that different from javascript, it's pretty easy to catch up on.

If you decide to go with Node FreeCodeCamp would be a great compliment to your learning here at Treehouse. They also have a focus on building sites for NonProfits.

Goodluck! --Ricky

I second checking out FreeCodeCamp...Their curriculum is very good although Chalkers course is the most basic introduction to node I have found so I would definitely start there.
