can't create new folders or files in workspace

Hi,I can't create any new files or folders in workspace.Error message keeps appearing "Error creating file.
An error occurred when trying to create the file ........... (error security error)" Tried different names, refreshing,restart,cant upload file from another place either.Any help appreciated.
