Can't do challenges and don't feel like I'm getting better....

I watch the videos and I concentrate and I follow along with them but in some courses I can't do the challenges and I don't feel I'm getting better even though I follow with the course. I watch the videos daily and I'm follow the track but still some information I can't get it. Can someone please help me and tell me what I can do to solve this issue because I really love programming and I want to be better and I don't know personally any professional in this field to help me. This is a serious issue for me. Thanks in advance.

What are you trying to learn? Where are you getting stuck? 9 times out of ten, you are having the same problem as someone else on here.
Try searching google with the instructions or name of the challenge you are stuck on with "teamtreehouse". The result in google often will be from the forums where someone has had the same problem. The forum search on here is not as accurate as google's search(or bing.com for that matter). Just don't give up. You will struggle for a while and then it will click.

Hey James Lambert , I don't just want to copy the answer and past it, I did that alot but I want to understand it and be able to do it myself. I'm starting to questioning myself is that the right track to take even though I want to learn it. I'm learning Java, but this issue occurred to me while learning Javascript but not as much.

Copying the answer is never the solution. I just meant reading through others problems and how they solved it or other helped them always helps me.

The best way for me to learn is doing two things:

  1. hand writing code on paper and hand writing definitions, notes ect.

  2. right after I learn something new, I do something with it. I go into www.codepen.io and just make stuff using that thing I just learned.

Find what learning style you are, and just write code, its the only why you get better.

also if you are stuck on things go to:

www.stackoverflow.com

search and ask questions, its a great resource. and lastly remember you can ask any web questions here on the Treehouse forum.

Good Luck!
