cant figure out what I am doing wrong

add a text input with the id attribute set to name and the name attribute set to "username"

<html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>HTML Forms</title> </head> <body> <form action = "index.html" method = "post"> <imput type="text" id="name" name="user_name" /> </form>

</form>

</body> </html>

the error message is telling me to make sure the <imput> element is nesting inside the <form> element.

index.html
html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>HTML Forms</title>
  </head>
  <body>
   <form action = "index.html" method = "post">
     <imput type="text" id="name" name="user_name" />
    </form>

    </form>
  </body>
</html>

  <input type="text" id="name" name="user_name" />
