can't find the answer challenge 2

Plz provide answer and explanation where i'm going wrong. I can't figure out whats wrong here.

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

while counter < numbers.count {

      sum = sum + newValue

Hi, you essentially constructed a loop within a loop...Inception the movie comes to mind. For every time your while loop iterates through a single element in numbers array, your for loop is iterating through all seven elements, thus looping 49 times (7 * 7). Please review the code below.

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below
while counter < numbers.count {
    counter += 1
    var index = (counter - 1)
    sum = numbers[index] + sum
}

print(sum)
