Can't get my for loop to work.

Hi all, I'm stuck on the 2nd task in this challenge: Task 1: I need you to help me finish my loopy function. Inside of the function, I need a for loop that prints each thing in items. Reminder: Check your syntax and indenting!

Task 2 (which is where I'm stuck): Oops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!

I've tried it a few different ways and I can't get it to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ahh I see the problem:

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item == 'STOP':
            break
        else:
            print(item) #  should be print(item) instead of print(items)

Hi Henrik, thanks for your comment. I've added in the ':' and it's still not working. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to format the below correctly. Any other ideas?

def loopy(items): for item in items: if item == "STOP": break else: print(items)
