Android Build a Simple Android App (retired 2014) Getting Started with Android Java Variables Explained

cant get past this test

my code word is (String yourfavoriteColor = "red";)

i dont know wats wrong with this...any help?

Hi Bala, I think the variable name 'favoriteColor' needs to be the same as the one stated on the question. So it has to be

String favoriteColor = "red";

In the question it says change it to your favourite color

Yea, they should clarify the statement like "Set the favoriteColor variable to your favorite color." Sometimes minor errors like that can put people off for hours.
