can't get the website to display in explorer

hi everyone I'm new to team treehouse, I do have a problem that I need help with. I have downloaded sublime for windows. When watching the video to display your webpage the video says to use Google chrome, but I would like to use explorer to view my webpage. Can I do this and if so how? thanks any help will be appreciated .

Hey Robert,

Are you using a windows operating system? If your using a mac or a linux operating system (OS) you wont have internet explorer.

If you are using windows 1) make sure you save the file as an html file. You can do this by going to the file > save as > filename.html For example you can save the file as (index.html or webpage.html) 2) inside the editor you can right click on the text and click (open in browser) from the menu or go to the directory where you saved the file, right click on it, open in internet explorer

There are a few other ways but like opening internet explorer and going to file > open but I don't think you need to go that far.

thank you for responding Brian, Yes I have saved the file to index.html, but when I open it it says page can not be displayed.
