can't remove the first list item in the dom

don't know where i am getting an error message

The "removeChild" method must be called on the parent of the element being removed, but "firstListItem" is the element being removed.

Also, since you already have the list item as "firstListItem", you don't need to create "li". It just uses a different selector to select the same element.
