Can't seem to get downloaded files to display.... Help!

I've downloaded the zip file for "Smells Like Bacon" and extracted the files, but they won't display when I code for them. What could I have possibly done wrong? I'm using a laptop running Windows 7. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you've got a file path issue with your images.

The way it works is that you have to put your images in the correct folder relative, to your HTML file.

Does that help?

If not, you can read up about absolute vs relative paths

Hi Gage,

Did you set a development environment? Have you a WAMP or XAMP running?

That's not necessary, if you just want to create your very first web page. XAMMP exists for when you need PHP.

Guys,

Thanks for the info. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. Had to close last night and open this today at my "real" job. I will try this.

Thanks again

It was absolutely a path issue. Sort of a "Duh" moment on my part. Btw... I've been loving Treehouse so far.
