The challenge is being very fussy. There is nothing wrong with your PHP syntax or logic - the period the challenge wants to see is actually the period that ends your sentence. So to fix it just add a period inside your string:

echo $fullName. ' was the original creator of PHP.'. "\n";

I'm having the same problem. Not sure what i've done wrong..

<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullName = $firstName + $lastName;

echo $fullName + ' was the original creator of PHP.' . "\n";
?>

It’s not working for me either:

<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName = $firstName + " " + $lastName;
echo $fullName + " was the original creator of PHP.\n";

?>
