255 PointsCan't Wait!
Hello everyone! Good to be here. I have just joined up. For many years I have wanted to learn programming and web design and been putting it off. Treehouse seems to be the place to be and I cannot wait to get started.
Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone. I think I will start with web design, learn html, css then javascript. After that I am thinking PHP then Ruby.
Anyone else in a similar situation or just started to learn web design?

255 PointsA degree is definitely something I am interested in also. My plans here are to learn the courses to gain the knowledge that I need in the industry. Build up my portfolio and get work in the web design industry. Further down the line I intend to start my own business.
Good to hear someone who has used Treehouse and enjoying it. :)

Treehouse Moderator 91,254 PointsNot as such, I've been in the web design game for a while now, on and off. In the past 6 years I've started a business and started and finished a degree in web and multimedia design,
Next step is to do a round of business course before I revisit web design on the Javascript track.
Have fun with Treehouse. I've been very impressed with the videos, reinforcing what i;ve already learned and teaching me some great new things too. :-)
