What kind of keyboard layout do you have? I'm pretty sure you write square brackets using these keys:

Courses Plus Student 15,597 PointsTor and Juan, have you tried using a different browser?
I was not able to recreate the issue and I tried using both Mac and Windows machines with Firefox browser and Google Chrome.
If the issue persists I suggest you shoot an email to the support team at help@teamtreehouse.com - they are fast in replies and might provide you a better solution! :)

3,483 PointsNot on nordic keyboards (Norway, Denmark and Sweden). On those keyboard square bracket are Alt-Gr + 8/9-keys, which is backspace and a forward backspace in workspaces. I've sent in a suggestion of removing the backspace functions of the luncher for those keybindings as we already have a handy backspace to use. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
