Challenge 2 (not sure how to incorporate the first challenge 'addy' an empty object literal

Add three properties to this object: animal with a value of dog, an age property with the value of 3, and a breed proper

so in the first part of the challenge you created an object literal called addy, this second part of the challenge is simply adding data to the empty object literal that you previously named addy, so something like this

const addy = {
  animal: 'dog', 
  age: 3,
  breed: 'pug'
};
