You got a bit off track, here's a few hints:

  • you can't use random.choice, the instructions say, " want you to try and reproduce it yourself."
  • don't assign anything to word, you'll need what was passed in
  • when picking a random number, use the length of the word as the limit
  • then return the letter picked using the random number as an index (using []'s)
