Challenge Task 1 Help

I'm having some trouble understanding what they are asking for in this code. Can anyone explain better what it is that is being asked?

Polygon.cs
namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
    class Polygon
    {
        public readonly int NumSides;

        public Polygon(int numSides)
        {
            NumSides = numSides;
        }
    }

    class Square : Polygon
    {

        public Square(int SideLength) : base (numSides)
        {
            public readonly int SideLength;
        }
    }
}

You seem to have the right idea. Take a close look at Polygon and use it as an example. Things to look for:

  • it also has a public field and that field is defined outside of the constructor
  • it also takes a constructor parameter to initialize the field and the parameter's name is similar to the field
  • the field name starts with a capital letter and the parameter name starts with lower case
  • inside the constructor, the parameter is copied to the field

And when the instructions say, "Use base to initialize NumSides to 4", they mean that "4" literally: "base(4)".
