HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Organize with Unordered Lists

Challenge Task 2 of 2

1) Challenge Task 1 of 2

Inside the <section> element, create an unordered list with three blank list items. This will become an image gallery, but don’t fill in the list items just yet.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section>
      <ul>
        <li>
          <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt"">
          <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt"">
          <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt"">
        </li>
      </ul>
    </section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Result: "Well done! You're doing great!"

2) Challenge Task 2 of 2

Inside the three new list items, add the following images: "numbers-01.jpg", "numbers-02.jpg", and "numbers-06.jpg". Leave the alt attributes blank, and don’t add any captions or links. Just the images!

Remember, you can preview your work by clicking the Preview button.

Important: In each task of this code challenge, the code you write should be added to the code from the previous task.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section>
      <ul>
        <li>
          <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt"">
          <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt"">
          <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt"">
        </li>
      </ul>
    </section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Result: Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing.

Following the directions and example of Challenge Task 2 of 2 invalidates Challenge Task 1 of 2. Repeat from start, same results, repeat from start, same results, repeat from start, same results, ect.

What is the resolution?

 <li>
          <img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
 </li>

So add closing li tag after each img.

Still does not work.

Sometimes site don't respond. Retry challenge with retry botton. I copy-paste your code and paste!

I have tried cutting and pasting from the example many times tonight and many times yesterday. I think the task is broken. Do you know how to contact Treehouse tech support?

Thank you by the way for the suggestions. Sincerely appreciated.
