Challenge use-jquerys-load-method

Hi, I tried several tries on this one, but I'm not able to figure it out. I'd like to know the answer before I move on. I've been doing quite well, and I feel like I'm missing a basic premise. Thanks.

When you look at the file, you see that "footer" is the element id. In JQuery, you can target an id by putting a # in front of it, kind of like with CSS. So you would get something like this:

$("#footer")

I'll bet you can handle task 2 on your own. Happy coding!

Thanks. I did try that.. Does it not need the ajax in front of it? I understood already what you're telling me, but I wasn't getting it right. Maybe there's a problem with the challenge?
